Dalstrom Award:  Named after our first president, the Edward Dalstrom Distinguished Service Award is presented only by Lions Clubs, Districts or Multiple Districts to anyone deserving of the highest award presented by Mid-South Lions.  The Award represents a $1,000 contribution during a one year period.  Over 500 outstanding persons have received this award since its inception in 1995.  Recipients also receive a Dalstrom pin, and are recognized by being named on a permanent plaque in the Mid-South Lions Clinic in Methodist Hospital.

Lion of the Year:  This award is given by the Mountain Home Lions Club to one outstanding member of the club who best exemplifies true Lionism by adhering to the Lions Code of Ethics and working diligently for the benefit of the club and the visually impaired.  The recipient is presented with gold Lion Statuette.

Melvin Jones Fellowship:  The fellowship, which was created in 1973, is named in honor of the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones.  The fellowship was established as LCIF’s highest form of recognition to acknowledge an individual’s dedication to humanitarian service.  When an individual, club or district donates US $1,000 to LCIF for a Melvin Jones Fellowship, an inscribed plaque and lapel pin are presented to the specified individual.
