The Mountain Home Lions Club is committed to the Lions Club International Motto “We Serve.”  We provide services for visually impaired, including eye exams, glasses, and even surgery for those who are financially incapable of paying for these services themselves.  Each year we sponsor a radio/television and internet auction offering goods and services donated by this caring community to fund our sight care work.   This last year’s total served was 70 people.   Our auction-generated funds also allow us to support Lions Club International; Lions World Services for the Blind in Little Rock, Arkansas; Mid-South Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee; and Camp for the Blind in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

We are able to continue our efforts because of the over 60 Mountain Home Lions Club members who regularly participate in our weekly meetings.  Except for a business meeting the first Wednesday of each month, we have programs that inform, stimulate, and motivate the membership.   As a person visiting our web site, we invite you to contact us regarding membership.  We would love to have you as a guest, and give you the opportunity to explore the Mountain Home Lions Club.

We meet for lunch at 12 Noon at the River Rock Inn (in their banquet room) at 1350 Hwy. 62 West.  The meeting ends at 1:00 p.m.

Larry Luman, President 2009-2010
